Agricultural Economist & Data Analyst - Remote

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and insightful Agricultural Economist & Data Analyst to join their remote team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria. You will play a critical role in analyzing agricultural data, market trends, and economic factors to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations that drive growth and sustainability in the agriculture and forestry sectors. Your responsibilities will include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets related to crop yields, market prices, weather patterns, and resource utilization. You will develop and implement statistical models, forecasting techniques, and economic evaluations to assess project viability, market opportunities, and policy impacts. This role requires a deep understanding of agricultural economics, including supply chain dynamics, production economics, and international trade. You will translate complex data into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders, including management, research teams, and external partners. Collaboration with agronomists, foresters, and other domain experts will be essential to integrate data-driven insights into practical solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) and data visualization tools. Experience with database management and advanced spreadsheet techniques is crucial.
