AI Architect /AI Solution Architect – P&C Insurance Platform

About The Role

• We are building a next-generation, AI-powered insurance platform from the ground up for the Property & Casualty (P&C) domain. This greenfield initiative aims to transform policy administration, underwriting, claims, and customer experience using AI-first architecture.
• The platform will align with and compete against leading insurance technology providers & leveraging modern cloud-native and AI-driven design principles
• We are seeking experienced AI Architects or AI Solution Architect to define the vision, architecture, and execution of this platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end AI architecture for a cloud-native insurance platform
• Design scalable AI/ML systems for underwriting, claims automation, fraud detection, and risk modeling
• Architect AI-native capabilities embedded within Policy Administration Systems (PAS)

Greenfield System Design

• Lead architecture for a modern, microservices-based insurance platform
• Apply domain-driven design (DDD) aligned with P&C insurance workflows
• Establish API-first and event-driven architecture patterns
• Architect solutions using .NET and Azure ecosystem (Azure ML, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, Data Services)
• Design cloud-native, scalable, and secure systems on Azure
• Define data architecture including data lakes, streaming pipelines, and feature stores

AI/ML & Generative AI

• Design and implement AI/ML and Generative AI solutions (LLMs, NLP, RAG pipelines)
• Enable intelligent automation across policy lifecycle and claims processing

Governance & Best Practices

• Define AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI frameworks
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of AI systems
• Create reusable frameworks, accelerators, and architecture standards
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams
• Translate insurance business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Mentor teams and provide architectural guidance

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture/engineering
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML and modern AI systems
• Strong expertise in Microsoft stack: .NET and Azure (Azure ML, Data Services, Cognitive Services)
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and modern AI frameworks
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture
• Strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
• Deep understanding of Policy Administration Systems (PAS)
• Familiarity with underwriting, claims, billing, and policy lifecycle

Nice to Have

• Experience building greenfield platforms
• Knowledge of data engineering and real-time analytics pipelines
• Experience with AI governance and regulatory compliance in insurance
• Exposure to modern DevOps, MLOps, and CI/CD practices

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary for this position is $180 K to $225 K per year with Bonus. Employee benefits will also be available, and details are available like Pension/401K/ Paid Vacation/ Life, Medical & Dental insurance etc.

• The pay range listed above reflects the expected starting salary /Pay rate for this role. This range may be adjusted based on market conditions, location, and other relevant factors. The Company will determine the final starting salary/Pay rate in consultation with the selected candidate(s), in full compliance with applicable laws
