Great Foods is one of Egypt's largest food companies and a key part of the El Naggar Group. Founded in 1978, Great Foods employs over 2000 individuals across six factories. We specialize in producing a wide variety of products including meats, fruits, jams, juices, and canned goods, marketed under the brand names Al Marai, OK, Juicy Up, and Royal. Our range of over 100 products caters to both local and international markets.

Great Foods is going all in on AI. We’re building internal tools that automate the way we work — and we’re not looking for just any coder. We want someone who can use AI to build code (not sit and write it manually all day). Think GitHub Copilot, Claude, and other generative AI tools as your partners in crime.

This is not a back-office dev role — you’ll be front and center, walking through every department, understanding how people actually get work done, and automating the repetitive parts of their job. You’ll speak to logistics, QA, sales, accounting — learn their workflows — and then create smart, AI-powered tools to remove inefficiencies. We're giving you the room to build solutions that scale with our growing company.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Montreal. You’ll be expected to work 3–4 days per week in the office, alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and map out workflows across every department
• Interview team members to understand their daily responsibilities and pain points
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to generate backend and frontend code
• Build internal automation tools, dashboards, and integrations (think SharePoint, Excel, Google Sheets, ERPs, CRMs, etc.)
• Continuously test, iterate, and improve tools based on real-world feedback
• Work directly with senior leadership to define automation priorities
• Stay ahead of AI tech and find ways to bring new tools into the business

Requirements

• You live and breathe AI tools and know how to prompt and fine-tune AI to write usable code
• You’ve built automations before (Zapier, Power Automate, or from scratch)
• Comfortable writing clean, scalable code in Python, JavaScript, or similar — with help from AI
• Strong communication skills — you’ll need to speak with all kinds of people, from factory planners to finance leads
• Curious, patient, and self-directed — you’re not afraid to ask “why?” ten times until you understand
• Bonus: experience working in a manufacturing, food, or export business environment
