AI Automation Engineer (m/w/d)

Syneco Trading GmbH

Weßling · Hybrid Full-time Mid Level Today

About the role

About Us

Syneco, founded in 1999 as an energy service provider of the Thüga Group, is today the largest municipal energy trading company in Germany with locations in Munich and Chemnitz. We trade electricity, gas, and CO2 and develop software solutions for the digitalization and automation of energy procurement. We also support municipal and medium-sized energy suppliers in areas such as market access, energy logistics, and risk management. Our corporate culture promotes flat hierarchies, trust, and active co-determination.

To expand our team, we are looking for an AI Automation Engineer (m/f/d) at our Munich or Chemnitz location, starting immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Automate. Integrate. Scale. Do you want to turn good ideas into stable, secure, and reusable solutions? Perfect! Then become part of our AI team and implement automations that simplify processes, relieve teams, and create real added value.
  • Build automations productively You develop AI workflows and automations that are quickly deployable, robust, and aligned with the practical needs of our business units.
  • Intelligently connect systems You implement API connections and low-code/no-code solutions, ensuring that existing systems are cleanly integrated and meaningfully extended.
  • Ensure quality and stability You take over testing, validation, and optimization, set up monitoring, and ensure that our solutions are performant, secure, and sustainably operable.
  • Enable technical scaling You document your solutions cleanly, develop reusable components, and create the technical basis for more productive automations and fewer manual process steps.

Profile

  • Know-how & Experience: Completed technical studies or a comparable education with experience in building automations, workflows, or integrations – ideally in the AI, API, or low-code/no-code environment.
  • Technical Understanding: You think in systems, data flows, and logic and can translate requirements into stable technical solutions.
  • Quality Standards: Testing, monitoring, and technical documentation are not extras for you, but an integral part of a good implementation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You work in a structured manner, analyze errors quickly, and find pragmatic ways to make solutions performant and secure.
  • Teamwork & Implementation: You work closely with AI Use Case Leads, IT, and relevant interfaces and enjoy making things really work.

We Offer

  • Attractive Compensation: Your success pays off! Our performance-based compensation is reviewed annually.
  • Flexible Working: 3 days of remote work per week & flexible working time models for your work-life balance.
  • More Free Time: 30 vacation days + Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve off + 3 additional company holidays.
  • Learning & Development: Thüga Campus, Thüga PlusAkademie & external training for your career boost.
  • Health & Well-being: Discounted EGYM Wellpass or Body & Soul membership, company sports activities, and health measures.
  • Security for the Future: Employer-funded direct insurance for retirement provision.
  • Leasing Offer: Benefit from our bike/e-bike leasing for private use as well.
  • Food is Ready: Look forward to our canteen with a diverse selection of products.
  • Stress-Free Commute: Free underground parking spaces (Munich) and mobility allowance (Chemnitz).
