AI Business Analyst

About the role
Who are we?
At Quicksort, we help organizations deploy reliable, custom, high-impact AI solutions quickly. We design internal AI agents that are secure and adapted to the most demanding industries: finance, legal, compliance. Our team combines elite engineering talent (École Polytechnique, Télécom Paris, ENS, CentraleSupélec) with a rigorous scientific approach and lean methodology to deliver custom AI products that go live in production — not in a slide deck. We operate at the intersection of business and AI: Human + AI = Compound Value.
Your Mission
As an AI Business Analyst, you are the connective tissue between our clients' business teams and our AI engineers. You translate complex front-office, middle-office, and risk processes into precise functional specifications, and you make sure what we ship actually solves the problem. You will work directly with senior stakeholders at Tier-1 investment banks and capital markets institutions, on workstreams covering credit, syndication, guarantees, cash management, and AI-augmented SDLC...
Concretely, you will:
- Lead discovery workshops with business sponsors (credit officers, syndication desks, treasurers, IT product owners) to scope AI use cases.
- Translate banking processes into clear functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for our AI engineers.
- Co-design conversational agents, copilots, and RAG pipelines on top of large internal knowledge bases (procedures, contracts, regulatory texts).
- Drive evaluation frameworks: define golden datasets, qualitative review protocols, and business KPIs for LLM-powered systems.
- Own functional documentation, change management, and user adoption — including rollout plans for sensitive banking populations.
- Contribute to PRDs, dashboards, and steering-committee deliverables for senior client stakeholders.
Training and R&D
Beyond client delivery, you will contribute to Quicksort's internal products and methodology, particularly our AI-for-finance accelerators, evaluation frameworks, and reusable functional patterns for financial services use cases.
Profile Sought
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or functional consultant, ideally in banking, capital markets, or financial services.
- Solid understanding of at least one banking domain: credit, cash management, capital markets, syndication, trade finance, compliance, or risk.
- Proven ability to write crisp functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Comfort with AI/LLM concepts: RAG, agents, prompt design, evaluation. You don't need to train models, but you need to know what's possible and what isn't.
- Excellent communication in French and English — you will face senior business stakeholders daily.
- Familiarity with modern delivery tools: Jira, Confluence, Notion, Figma.
- Bonus: SQL, basic Python, exposure to Agile/Scrum at scale (SAFe), or prior experience in a Big 4 / consulting firm.
Some of our core values
- Bias for action.
- Excellence.
- Leave your ego aside.
