AI Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain simple data pipelines, including data transformation and entry.
• Support the design and implementation of basic data models.
• Perform intermediate level data quality checks following established procedures.
• Investigate stakeholder queries and communicate findings or resolutions.
• Maintain documentation in the repository and follow security protocols to report vulnerabilities.
• Manage project progress and metadata collection with moderate supervision.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a related role.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with scripting languages.
• Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platforms and cloud computing concepts.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Proficient usage of Git and contributing to team repositories.
• BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or Statistics.
• Cloud certification.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
