AI Enablement Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, technically savvy Junior AI Engineer to support our AI Enablement team. This role focuses on rapidly building proof-of-concepts (POCs), demos, and mockups that showcase the potential of AI solutions across the organization and the art-of-the-possible. You’ll work closely with an AI Evangelist who will drive business engagement, while you bring ideas to life through lightweight technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Build rapid POCs, demos, and mockups to validate AI use cases
• Translate business ideas into functional prototypes with minimal oversight
• Configure and integrate tools such as Salesforce, Snowflake, Microsoft Copilot, and Copilot Studio
• Experiment with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code and similar platforms
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to iterate quickly
• Document prototypes and clearly communicate capabilities and limitations
• Help build and manage PenFed’s first Lab

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a technical or low-code development role
• Curiosity and drive to solve problems
• Experience building prototypes, demos, or lightweight applications
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and data workflows
• Working knowledge of at least one of the following: Salesforce, Snowflake, or Microsoft Copilot ecosystem and ability to quickly learn others
• Comfort using AI coding assistants and low-code/no-code tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and generative AI tools
• Experience in innovation labs, consulting, or rapid prototyping environments
• Basic scripting ability (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
