AI Engineer

A regional industrial organization in Fort Worth, Texas undergoing significant digital transformation is seeking an AI Engineer to join its growing internal AI team. This role will focus on developing intelligent tools to support scheduling, logistics, procurement, and plant operations. Working within a small development team and in close collaboration with operational leadership, the position leverages real-world data to deliver practical, high-impact solutions.

The AI Engineer will design AI-powered applications using large language models, including natural language interfaces that extract insights from operational and ERP data, while also building and optimizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines across structured and unstructured sources. Additional responsibilities include developing production-ready agent workflows, applying prompt engineering best practices, constructing AI-ready data pipelines from ERP, logistics, and production systems, and partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement high-value AI use cases.

Requirements: • 2+ years of experience building and shipping software with AI or ML components • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and prompt engineering • Demonstrated experience developing RAG pipelines • Experience working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) • Ability to operate independently and translate ambiguous problems into functional solutions • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
