About the role

Everflow handles massive scale in the ad-tech space. We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer who views LLMs as just one component in a complex, high-concurrency distributed system. You will lead the charge in evolving our platform from "data-rich" to "intelligence-driven."

We are a GCP shop, but we don't just follow the documentation—we build ahead of it. You will be responsible for architecting how Gemini and the evolving Vertex AI suite integrate into our real-time attribution and analytics engine.

The Mission: Build for Today, Architect for Tomorrow

• System Orchestration: Design the "connective tissue" between our massive BigQuery datasets and agentic AI workflows.
• Rapid Adaptation: Evaluate and implement emerging GCP technologies (including those announced at Cloud Next) to keep Everflow at the cutting edge of Mar-Tech.
• Resilient AI: Ensure that AI-driven features—like automated fraud detection or partner insights—are deterministic, cost-controlled, and sub-second.

What you'll do

• Architectural Agility: Design modular AI services that allow us to swap models or orchestration frameworks (e.g., moving from manual RAG to autonomous Vertex Agents) as the GCP ecosystem evolves.
• Tooling & Function Calling: Build the secure API layers that allow Gemini to "act" on behalf of our users within the Everflow ecosystem.
• Latency & Cost Guardrails: Engineering the middleware that handles model routing, semantic caching, and token-budgeting to maintain our margins.
• Collaborative ML Ops: Work alongside our Data Scientists to move models from experimental notebooks to production-grade Cloud Run/GKE deployments.

Qualifications

• First Principles Engineer: You understand the fundamentals of distributed systems, concurrency, and data integrity.
• GCP Native: Strong experience with the Google Cloud ecosystem (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE) and Vertex AI.
• Language Agnostic: High proficiency in Python, but comfortably "multilingual" when integrating with our core backend services.
• Montreal Based: Ability to work from our Montreal office at least two days per week to foster high-bandwidth collaboration with our local engineering hub.
• Ad-Tech Sensibility: You understand that in our world, latency is the enemy and accuracy is the product.

Compensation Package:

• Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 CAD
