To strengthen our dynamic and professional team in the Ravensburg area, we are looking for a dedicated Prompt Engineer (m/f/d) / Computational Linguist (m/f/d) in the field of language management with a passion for AI-supported translations and language technology. We are looking for an analytical, tech-savvy personality who is familiar with digital tools, tests new prompt strategies, and enjoys developing innovative solutions together as a team.

As part of our team of 10 on-site project managers and around 400 translators worldwide, you will work on exciting projects for renowned clients such as Blackroll, Schleich, and Schmidt Spiele. The position is full-time and permanent, offering the option to work from home approximately 2-3 days per week. Responsibilities

• Development and optimization of prompts for customer-specific adaptation and training of Large Language Models (LLM)
• Evaluation and integration of AI models and machine translation engines into existing translation processes, including post-editing workflows
• Building, maintaining, and cleaning up company-wide terminology databases to ensure consistent technical language across all target languages
• Support and administration of translation management systems, translation memories, and terminology tools
• Analysis of existing language-related processes and automation of workflows, e.g., file format conversions
• Implementation of measures for linguistic quality assurance (LQA) as well as creation and further development of style guides
• Collection and monitoring of quality-relevant metrics such as terminology parameters, translator feedback, or edit distance values

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in language technology, computational linguistics, translation science, or a comparable qualification in a related field
• Proficient use of CAT tools, e.g., Across, SDL Studio, and knowledge of terminology management systems, e.g., MultiTerm
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python or data formats like XML/XLIFF is an advantage
• Fluent German and very good English skills in speaking and writing required, ideally supplemented by another foreign language
• Strong analytical skills, structured and precise way of working
• High affinity for AI-supported language technologies and motivation to quickly learn new tools and methods
