Weatherford is seeking a talented • *AI Engineer**

to join our RDE team in Mumbai. This role will focus on the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and machine learning solutions that support business operations and drive innovation across the organisation.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI systems, integrate intelligent solutions into existing platforms, and contribute to the continuous advancement of Weatherford’s digital capabilities. • *Key Responsibilities** • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and algorithms • Build and maintain ML pipelines, including training and inference workflows • Develop LLM-based solutions (RAG systems, tool-using agents) • Integrate AI solutions into production systems using modern frameworks • Process and analyse large datasets to generate actionable insights • Optimise and fine-tune models for performance, scalability, and efficiency • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders • Ensure compliance with Weatherford HSE, Quality, and governance standards • Contribute to continuous improvement of AI systems and processes • *Required** • *Experience & Qualifications** • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 2–5 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science • Proven experience in AI, machine learning, and data science • Strong programming skills (Python essential; R or Java beneficial) • Experience with modern AI/ML stack (e.g. PyTorch, FastAPI, vector databases) • Experience building and deploying ML pipelines and AI services • Knowledge of LLM ecosystems and tools (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph) • Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and basic MLOps practices • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage non-technical stakeholders • *Preferred** • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Exposure to Kubernetes, Airflow, or Argo • Knowledge of model optimisation (quantisation, LoRA/QLoRA) • Frontend basics (React/TypeScript) • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security • Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or other complex engineering environments • Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.* • *Why Weatherford**
