Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented AI Engineer specializing in autonomous systems to contribute to the development of advanced aerospace platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in building intelligent autonomy capabilities in complex environments. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the AI Engineer will design, develop, and validate algorithms related to guidance, navigation, and control (GNC).

The role involves taking autonomy solutions from concept to operational deployment through simulation and rapid prototyping. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge aerospace technology in a collaborative and innovative environment with a competitive salary package and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software modules that enable autonomous decision‑making for aerospace systems.
  • Create control strategies and state estimation methods to improve aircraft stability and autonomy performance.
  • Validate autonomy functions using simulation environments and structured test procedures.
  • Support iterative development cycles through software and hardware in the loop testing.
  • Participate in system integration activities and campaigns to verify operational performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system behavior during integration and testing phases.
  • Develop metrics and evaluation frameworks for measuring autonomy performance.
  • Document architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications for engineering reviews.
  • Contribute to design discussions and continuous improvement of autonomy architecture.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of strong programming expertise in Python and/or C++.
  • Experience developing algorithms for robotics, autonomous systems, perception, or control systems.
  • Hands‑on experience working with simulation environments and iterative software development workflows.
  • Familiarity with guidance, navigation, control concepts, and state estimation techniques is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional engineering.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and technical communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
