Lead Engineer

Role Overview

Seeking a strong Lead Engineer to drive architecture, design, and development of a cloud-native, configuration-driven, event-based platform supporting healthcare payer workflows and Payment Integrity systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering initiatives
• Provide architectural guidance and hands-on development
• Build scalable metadata-driven and rule-engine systems
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and business teams
• Mentor developers and enforce engineering best practices

Required Skills

• 8+ years in software engineering
• Strong expertise in Python or Java
• Experience with configuration-driven platforms and rule engines
• Strong SQL & NoSQL database knowledge
• Kafka and event-driven architecture experience
• AWS services: EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps
• Healthcare domain expertise with Payment Integrity focus

Preferred Experience

• Autonomous agents
• Tool-calling workflows
• Multi-agent architectures
• Local/private AI deployments
• Advanced AI reasoning & orchestration
• Hands-on experience with modern AI models like Qwen, Gemma, Llama, Claude, Gemini, Codex, etc.
• Kafka and Payment Integrity experience are mandatory
