Overview

Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions and creator of the industry's most advanced unmanned command and control solution for vehicle operations, is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, prototype, and deploy AI‑driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and automate decision‑making across complex operational environments. This role focuses on transforming operational data into predictive insights and automation that reduce downtime, improve throughput, and enable scalable performance improvements. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with operations leaders, software engineers, and data teams to move models from experimentation into production systems, while ensuring reliable monitoring, feedback loops, and measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement analytics‑driven automation and decision logic.
• Prepare datasets, perform feature engineering, and develop predictive models for operational forecasting and performance optimization.
• Build and implement rule‑based automation, alerting logic, and decision workflows with human‑in‑the‑loop validation.
• Integrate models into operational tools and systems by collaborating with engineering teams to build APIs, dashboards, and automation interfaces.
• Contribute to ML pipeline development, including CI/CD processes, containerization, and deployment workflows.
• Implement monitoring, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms to track model performance and operational impact.
• Detect model drift or system failures and support ongoing optimization and improvement.
• Document models, experiments, assumptions, and operational playbooks to ensure reproducibility and operational reliability.
• Support data collection, labeling, and tooling improvements to accelerate model development and deployment.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, AI, or operational automation roles.
• Experience applying machine learning or AI models to operational or industrial data.
• Experience with time‑series forecasting or supervised learning techniques.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data preparation, modeling, and analysis.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of model monitoring, evaluation, and operational reliability practices.
• Ability to translate technical insights into clear operational decision logic.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills working with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience deploying models in containerized or cloud environments (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience building AI‑driven operational automation or predictive maintenance solutions.
