About the role
About
The Fraunhofer Society is one of the world's leading organizations for applied research. 75 institutes develop pioneering technologies for our economy and society – more precisely: 32,000 people from technology, science, administration, and IT. You know: Those who come to Fraunhofer want to and can make a difference. For themselves, for us, and for the markets of today and tomorrow.
As part of the largest organization for applied research in Europe, Fraunhofer IAIS, based in Sankt Augustin near Bonn, is one of the leading research institutes in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data in Germany and Europe. In the NetMedia department, we conduct research in the field of Generative AI. The methods and technologies are transferred into AI applications with a focus on the media and publishing industry and the public sector.
In the "AI4Media" business field, we research and develop solutions based on Generative AI and agent systems for the media and publishing industry. For example, we support major media houses in AI-based indexing of their archive holdings using speech and speaker recognition and develop innovative solutions for video summarization and analysis of multimodal content.
We are looking for excellent applied researchers who are eager to bring the current state of research in Artificial Intelligence into practical application in the media and publishing industry.
