Your Responsibilities

• You conceptualize and develop AI-supported functions for our products – from idea to productive solution.
• You develop and operate AI services and REST-based APIs for our applications.
• You build the technical infrastructure to operate AI models securely, scalably, and in compliance with regulations in cloud environments (SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft Azure).
• You establish ML Ops structures, e.g., for model versioning, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• You analyze the performance and statistical properties of models over time (e.g., drift, quality, usage) and ensure that changes are comprehensibly documented.
• You optimize costs, performance, scalability, and accuracy of AI systems.
• You procure, clean, and transform datasets for use in AI systems.
• You work closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams.
• You follow current developments in the field of AI and bring new approaches into our product development.

Your Profile

• You have several years of experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Software Engineer, or Applied AI Engineer and have developed and operated AI systems or machine learning models in cloud production environments.
• You have experience operating AI systems over longer periods (ML Ops), e.g., model versioning, monitoring, evaluation, or drift analysis.
• You are familiar with Vector Databases, Graph Databases, and architectural patterns such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• You have experience with guardrails, evaluation, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop approaches for productive AI systems.
• You have experience in designing and building RESTful APIs as well as with frameworks like FastAPI or .NET Core.
• You have very good programming skills in Python and either C# or Java and actively use AI coding assistants in your development workflow.
• You work in a structured, pragmatic, and product-oriented manner.
• You have very good German (C1+) and English (C1+) language skills; experience in regulated environments is a plus.
