About Us
For our almost 15-person Analytics & Dataplatforms department, we are looking for a (Senior) AI Engineer who enjoys driving digitalization within the ARD and its regional broadcasting corporations. As part of an interdisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for the technical conception, design, development, and optimization of GenAI projects. We strongly emphasize initiative and personal development. If you don't know a technology well, you'll learn it through our training-on-the-job, supported by direct colleagues. Regular contact via individual meetings, expert team meetings, and pub.tech-Weekly ensures transparency. We ensure that private life, such as family and children, can be reconciled with work.
Your Responsibilities
- Development of backend services for AI applications and RAG systems (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Creation, integration, and optimization of AI models and prompt engineering
- Building and maintaining microservices and scalable cloud solutions
- Collaboration with frontend teams to seamlessly deliver AI functionalities
- Participation in the architecture and implementation of cloud infrastructures, preferably Google Cloud
What You Bring
- Experience with Python or TypeScript in the backend
- Knowledge in AI/ML application development, especially integration of models into productive systems
- Experience with RAG systems, prompt development, or similar AI workflows
- Knowledge of microservice architectures and cloud environments (ideally GCP)
- Team-oriented work in agile development processes
- Experience with CI/CD, logging, monitoring of AI services
- Knowledge in data engineering, API usage, or cloud databases
- Experience in developing chatbots
