What to expect

• You will accompany our project teams hands-on during the transition from AI experiments to production, having a direct impact on our core business.
• You will recognize commonalities between different AI applications and use your abstraction skills to conceptualize and implement reusable software components, services, and infrastructure.
• You will continuously explore new topics and complex IT landscapes, combining technical know-how, business understanding, and business acumen to create practical solutions for our operational units.
• You will operate, monitor, and optimize our in-house developed machine learning and AI applications in production (e.g., monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, incident management, site reliability).

What you bring

• Very good programming skills in Python, ideally with experience in frameworks like fastapi, pydantic, celery, polars, pytorch, transformers.
• You are willing to familiarize yourself with operational insurance processes to understand AI applications in their overall context and develop them purposefully.
• Sustainable software development is a matter of course for you: Test-Driven Development, Clean Code, Code Reviews, and confident use of Git are part of your daily work.
• You have experience with the deployment of productive software systems in an AI context (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, MLOps & LLMOps practices) as well as their operation and monitoring (Grafana, OTEL).
• Experience in developing LLM-based workflows is a plus (e.g., agents, prompting strategies, mlflow, langfuse).
• Ideally, you have experience in building new projects – from the initial idea through prototyping to stable operation.
• Experience with SQL and Typescript is helpful.
