AI Developer / AI Engineer Remote (DMV)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. The role involves building intelligent systems, integrating AI into enterprise applications, and optimizing model performance in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI/ML and Generative AI solutions
• Build and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Develop semantic search systems using embeddings and vector databases
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into applications
• Build scalable ML pipelines for training and deployment
• Develop APIs and microservices (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
• Deploy solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms
• Implement MLOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, model versioning)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLMs (LangChain, OpenAI APIs)
• Understanding of NLP, embeddings, vector search, and RAG
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)
• Experience with API development and backend systems
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM fine-tuning or embedding optimization
• Knowledge of evaluation metrics (Precision@K, MRR, nDCG)
• Experience with Airflow, Kafka, or Spark
• Exposure to React/Next.js or frontend technologies
• Experience in Agile environments
