Your Role

For the development and implementation of productive GenAI applications to support central business processes, we are looking for an AI Engineer (m/f/d) at our Düsseldorf or Werdohl location.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, development & operation of productive GenAI solutions (LLM apps, agents, RAG)
• Architecture & orchestration of LLM systems including memory, tool-calling, agent topologies, and RAG patterns
• Implementation with LangChain & integration of external APIs/services
• Evaluation & observability: metrics, offline/online tests, A/B tests, monitoring (e.g., Langfuse)
• LLMOps: versioning, experiment tracking, CI/CD, guardrails, secrets, cost & latency tuning
• Integration into platforms & processes, ensuring security, compliance, stability, performance & cost optimization until go-live
• Definition of standards & best practices for GenAI, prompting, agents, RAG

Your Profile

• Several years of experience with productive GenAI solutions, LLM/agent frameworks (especially LangChain)
• Very good Python skills & experience in backend development (APIs, Async, Caching) as well as vector databases/embeddings
• Cloud & infrastructure knowledge: Azure (OpenAI, AKS, Functions, Key Vault), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), automation
• Practical experience with model selection, prompting vs. fine-tuning, guardrails/safety
• Analytical, structured way of working with ownership over the entire GenAI lifecycle
• Interdisciplinary collaboration & stakeholder management
• Good communication skills in English & German, convincing communication of technical concepts
