About the Role

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our Client office at a minimum 2 days per week – subject to change at any time.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled AI Solutions Developer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI‑powered solutions to address various business challenges. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on AI Engineer with strong Python skills and practical experience in prompt engineering for LLMs using GitHub Copilot to build and deliver AI‑based solutions. Exposure to Azure AI Foundry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI‑powered solutions using Python.
• Apply effective prompt engineering techniques using GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Build prototypes and production‑ready AI features.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications and services via APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Build and deploy AI models and applications on cloud platforms, preferably with some exposure to Azure AI.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Troubleshoot and debug AI models and applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands‑on experience with prompt engineering and GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of LLM‑based solution patterns (e.g., summarization, extraction, Q&A).
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control with Git and GitHub.
• Experience with Git‑based version control and modern development practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or familiarity with Azure AI Foundry (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service).
• Knowledge of Azure services and AI integration patterns.
• Exposure to frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of building and deploying applications in a cloud‑native environment.

Compensation

“CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.”
