AI Engineering Internship (m/w/d)

Your Tasks

• Rapid AI Prototyping: Develop and test LLM-based applications such as chatbots, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems, and prompt engineering workflows using off-the-shelf APIs.
• Applied Machine Learning: Support the creation of AI and ML prototypes for practical business use cases, such as price optimization, time series forecasting, and decision support.
• Platform & Automation Support: Assist in the development and continuous improvement of our internal digital platforms and automated reporting solutions.
• Document & Collaborate: Document technical requirements, data structures, and solution approaches so our senior teams can take your prototypes to the next level. Collaborate closely with our retail, analytics, development, and IT teams.

Your Profile

• Education: Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Information Systems, Digital Management, or a comparable field.
• The "Hacker" Mindset: You have a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style. You care more about making a prototype work than making the code perfect on the first try.
• Core AI Interest: You have a strong, demonstrable interest in AI applications, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG systems, and automation.
• Digital Foundation: You possess a basic understanding of digital tools, technical processes, data structures, and user-centered application design.
• (Nice-to-Haves) Languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#.
• (Nice-to-Haves) Frontend/Mobile: ReactJS, React Native.
• (Nice-to-Haves) Data & ML: Pandas, BeautifulSoup, scikit-learn, Keras, Random Forest, or XGBoost.
• (Nice-to-Haves) Infrastructure & Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Airflow, Snowflake, AWS S3, Unity.
