The Thesis

Traditional marketing teams were built for a world where every deliverable required a specialist bottleneck — a copywriter, a designer, a developer, an SEO analyst, a paid media buyer, an automation specialist, an email marketer. Five people, six weeks, one campaign.

That world is gone.

With AI-native tooling — Claude, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Make, n8n, and our own SamurAI platform — a single fluent builder can now ship in days what used to take a team a quarter. The bottleneck has moved from capacity to taste.

We're hiring people who live on that frontier.

The Role

You'll work alongside our Creatives and Strategists, turning strategic briefs into live, working, automated systems for Managed Marketing and PE PortCO clients across Canada and the US. You're not a developer. You're not a marketer. You're the hybrid the industry is still figuring out how to name.

On any given week you might: • Ship a client landing page from brief to live URL in an afternoon • Stand up an end-to-end outreach automation (CRM + SMS + email + AI qualification) for a new B2B client • Build a custom Looker Studio dashboard pulling GA4, GSC, and call tracking into one unified client view • Deploy an AI agent that handles inbound lead intake on a service business website • Clone our master SamurAI site template, customize it for a new OpCo, and launch it inside a week • Prototype a new productized offer on Monday and have it selling by Friday

You are not maintaining things someone else built. You are building.

What You Actually Need to Be

Tasteful. You can tell the difference between a page that looks like AI slop and one that looks intentional. You care about typography, hierarchy, whitespace, rhythm. You've sent back your own work and redone it because something felt off.

Fast. You ship. You don't over-plan. You'd rather put v1 in front of a client and iterate than spend two weeks polishing a Figma file nobody will approve.

AI-native. You've already replaced a large chunk of your workflow with Claude, Cursor, or equivalent. You know the difference between prompting for output and prompting for leverage. You don't ask "can AI do this?" — you assume it can, and figure out how.

Broadly fluent. You don't need to be elite at any one stack, but you need to be dangerous across many: • HTML / CSS / Tailwind, basic JS and React • Webflow, Framer, or similar no-code/low-code builders • GHL, HubSpot, or equivalent CRM + automation platforms • Make, n8n, Zapier for workflow automation • Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, GSC, Looker Studio • Enough SQL to not be scared of a schema

Self-directed. We're a small team. There is no one to hand-hold you through a ticket. If you need to learn a new tool to ship the thing, you learn it.

What This Role Is NOT

• Not an entry-level marketing coordinator job • Not a traditional dev job — if you want to spend three weeks perfecting a build system, this isn't it • Not a designer job, though taste matters enormously • Not a specialization track — we need generalists who can move across the stack • Not a "coast on AI" job — AI makes you 10x faster, which means we expect 10x more output, not 10x less effort
