Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the further development and operation of our AI platform – from model integration to productive use.
- Development of the central layer between AI infrastructure and concrete applications to ensure scalable use cases.
- Integration, testing, and validation of new AI models for productive use.
- Conception and implementation of RAG architectures for the use of organization-specific knowledge data.
- Development and integration of interfaces and tools for extending AI workflows (e.g., via MCP and tool-calling).
- Implementation of security mechanisms and guardrails to minimize risks in AI operations.
- Ensuring governance, compliance, and data protection requirements in the context of modern AI systems.
- Monitoring and continuous optimization of model performance and system quality.
- Close collaboration with IT, architecture, operations, and business departments for platform development.
- Support for users and clients in dealing with AI solutions.
Skills
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a comparable qualification.
- Practical experience in building and operating AI applications, especially with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases (e.g., ChromaDB or comparable).
- Good knowledge of Python and experience with Linux and container technologies (e.g., Docker, ideally Kubernetes).
- Experience integrating tools and interfaces into AI systems (e.g., MCP or comparable frameworks).
- Understanding of typical risks in the AI environment (e.g., prompt injection, hallucinations, model drift) and their mitigation.
- Experience with AI gateway solutions or comparable systems (e.g., OpenWebUI, LiteLLM).
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (e.g., OIDC, Keycloak) and experience with access and authorization concepts.
- Experience in regulated environments and basic knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, BSI-Grundschutz).
- Analytical, structured, and independent working style, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
