Context
We are looking for an AI Product Owner to join the WAM AI Center of Expertise (CoE), a cornerstone of the Data & AI strategy for Wealth & Asset Management (WAM). The CoE's mission is to implement the AI trajectory at the WAM level across all its geographies (notably France, Belgium, Monaco, UK, Switzerland), to pool expertise and resources, and to ensure a coherent, compliant, and high-performing approach for all existing AI solutions for business processes.
Operating within a distributed and coordinated model, the CoE ensures cross-functionality, standardization of practices, and governance of solutions. It supports business units in identifying, prioritizing, and designing new use cases, while also supporting their large-scale deployment in close collaboration with business, IT, and support functions.
It comprises Product teams responsible for designing and developing AI solutions that directly meet business needs. These Product teams are supported by Platform teams, which define and manage the technical roadmap, maintain environments, tools, and cross-functional services (Azure AI Foundry, APIM, DevOps, observability, security), and continuously work to automate, optimize, and industrialize processes.
In this context, the CoE Product Owner plays a central role: they own the product vision, structure and align the product roadmap with the cross-functional roadmap, foster cooperation between technical and business teams, and ensure that value creation, functional quality, compliance, and adoption of AI solutions are at the core of the approach. They thus contribute directly to the industrialization and scaling up of AI capabilities within WAM.
Main Missions:
- Animate functional design workshops/meetings, write and organize the backlog, break down tasks
- Communicate the product vision to all stakeholders, organize demonstrations, gather user feedback
- Present User Stories, communicate major changes, ensure sprint progress reporting
- Test releases, guarantee functional and technical quality, arbitrate changes during acceptance testing
- Monitor the run, qualify level 2 incidents, feed the backlog with minor evolution requests
- Support solution adoption, maintain and deploy solutions, develop the backlog identified for each project
More specifically, the Product Owner will be in charge of:
Build the product vision and drive the roadmap
- Support the Product Manager in building and synthesizing the product vision, roadmap, and product backlog in line with business and client expectations
- Identify key success indicators (business value)
- Manage the backlog: adding, removing, evolving, modifying items and permanent ordering in agreement with business and client vision (expectations and feedback)
- Prioritize initiatives in line with strategic objectives and CoE OKRs
- Lead scoping workshops with sponsors and stakeholders (business, IT, compliance)
- Regularly communicate backlog progress and deliveries to various stakeholders and sponsors
Deliver and manage projects
- Propose a delivery roadmap and trajectories to optimize business and client value, identify and control risks
- Take charge of cross-functional tasks to support the CoE's scaling up (monitoring, agentics, LLM benchmark...)
- Support the development team and participate in team animation and its rituals
- Write and validate the correct understanding of user stories and functional requests
- Supervise testing phases and guarantee the functional quality of AI solutions
Measure performance and continuous improvement
- Drive the usage and performance indicators of AI solutions (adoption, business value, functional quality, performance, costs), as well as direct or indirect feedback
- Monitor and evolve the AI CoE KPIs, including specific indicators for GenAI solutions (response quality, reliability, latency, cost per use)
- Identify optimization and innovation opportunities through active monitoring and technological benchmarks (models, architectures, market practices).Contribute to the implementation of AI standards and guidelines within the organization
Experience and Skills Expected
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, ideally in complex and international environments
- Analytical skills, problem-solving, service-oriented and client-focused
- Successful experience in AI teams or projects
- Knowledge of GenAI technologies and good level in prompt engineering (structuring and contextualizing prompts)
- Experience in designing or managing platform products or cross-functional capabilities (tooling, common services, frameworks) is a strong asset
- Ability to work in exploratory and unstable environments (new AI architectures, agentics, emerging models)
- Comfortable interacting with expert technical teams (platform, architecture, security, data / AI)
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
- Knowledge of the banking sector is appreciated
- Proficiency in agile rituals and agile Scrum certification recommended (PSPO, CSPO…)
