AI Security Engineer – Healthcare AI Systems

About the Role

We’re looking for an AI Security Engineer to secure AI-driven healthcare systems, protecting sensitive medical data and ensuring the safe deployment of machine learning models in regulated environments. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and data privacy, helping build systems that are not only intelligent, but also secure, compliant, and trustworthy. This role is ideal for engineers who want to apply their skills to high-impact, real-world systems where security is critical.

What You’ll Be Working On

• AI models processing sensitive patient and clinical data
• Secure pipelines for training and deploying healthcare AI systems
• Systems requiring strict compliance with GDPR and healthcare regulations
• Protection against vulnerabilities such as data leakage and model attacks

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for AI/ML systems and data pipelines
• Secure model training, deployment, and inference environments
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) for AI infrastructure
• Identify and mitigate risks such as data exposure, model vulnerabilities, and adversarial threats
• Integrate security into MLOps and CI/CD workflows
• Monitor systems and respond to security incidents
• Collaborate with AI, data, and platform teams to ensure secure architecture

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security engineering
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with IAM, encryption, and secure system design
• Familiarity with machine learning systems and data pipelines
• Experience with security monitoring and threat detection tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with healthcare or regulated environments
• Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy frameworks
• Familiarity with adversarial ML or AI-specific security risks
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
