About
Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading telecommunications organization, is seeking a AI Software Engineer for a 12+ month contract with the right to hire opportunity in the Plano, TX area. This role will focus on designing and building scalable AI driven applications, orchestrating Large Language Model (LLM) workflows, and developing real-time distributed systems that support high-volume data processing and customer-facing solutions.

Requirements
- Strong Python development experience building scalable backend services
- Experience developing APIs using FastAPI, GraphQL, and/or REST
- Hands‑on experience deploying applications to Azure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and Helm charts
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions
- Experience with PostgreSQL and distributed data systems
- Experience building high-concurrency or multithreaded systems
- Exposure to real-time or streaming data architectures such as Kafka
- Experience working with distributed systems and event‑driven architectures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain
- Experience building OpenAI‑based workflows or AI orchestration pipelines
- Familiarity with Golang for high‑performance services
- Experience with Strawberry GraphQL interfaces
- Experience with Databricks or large‑scale data processing platforms
- Strong experience implementing monitoring and observability for distributed systems
