AI Solutions Engineer (f/m/d)

For full-time positions, part-time and job sharing are also possible.

Your Responsibilities

AI is not an innovation project on the sidelines for us, but part of our strategy: We want to integrate Artificial Intelligence into all core processes of the bank in the medium term and thus gain a real competitive advantage. For this, we are looking for you – someone who technically implements this vision and translates it into concrete solutions together with our business departments.

You will develop tailor-made AI solutions that provide real business value in a regulated banking environment. In this role, you will not only be a developer but also a sparring partner for the business departments. You will understand their problems, translate them into viable AI concepts, and put the solutions into productive use.

• You will analyze use cases together with the business departments and develop concrete AI solutions with measurable added value.
• You will identify and implement automation potential in business processes – from rule-based workflows to AI-supported process automation (e.g., Power Automate, Copilot Studio Agents).
• You will design and develop end-to-end AI applications from prototype through proof-of-concept to a productive, scalable solution.
• You will select the appropriate models, frameworks, and architectures, evaluate new approaches (e.g., agent orchestration, model context protocol), and make informed build-vs.-buy decisions.
• You will ensure correct integration with existing business applications, data sources, and APIs, and guarantee the data quality as well as the prompt and context engineering of your solutions.
• You will establish quality standards for AI solutions: evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, hallucination control, and Responsible AI principles.
• You will ensure that your solutions comply with regulatory requirements (BaFin, MaRisk, BAIT, DORA, EU AI Act, GDPR) and document architecture and decisions in an audit-proof manner.
• You will actively participate in our AI and Automation roadmap and share your knowledge within the team through coaching, code reviews, and internal enablement formats.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed your relevant university/university of applied sciences degree in computer science (business informatics) or have acquired equivalent knowledge and skills through many years of relevant professional experience and further training.
• You have several years of experience in the conception and development of AI or data solutions, ideally in a banking or regulated environment.
• You have demonstrable experience in developing productive LLM applications: RAG architectures, prompt engineering, evaluation, fine-tuning concepts, and agent frameworks (e.g., MCP, LangChain, Microsoft Agentic Framework).
• You feel at home in the Microsoft AI ecosystem: Azure AI Foundry, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Entra ID, and ideally also in Databricks and the MS Power Platform.
• You are highly proficient in programming in Python and .NET, are familiar with typical AI libraries and SDKs, and are experienced with REST/GraphQL APIs, Git, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.
• You think not only in models but in solutions: You understand business processes, can capture requirements from the business department, and translate them into viable architectures.
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner, communicate clearly, and can explain technical issues understandably even to non-technical stakeholders.
• You are an empathetic and reliable communicator, are not afraid to talk to users, can inspire your counterpart, and understand and classify your customers' needs.
• You have an independent, structured way of working, creativity, and a hands-on mentality – high quality standards are a matter of course for you.
• You are an out-of-the-box thinker, performance-oriented, and a team player.
