Key Responsibilities

• Work with the team to define the business case and requirements for AI agents before development begins.
• Build, test, and deploy agents, ensuring security best practices and clear functional separation.
• Investigate and deploy AI tools tailored to specific team and department needs.
• Act as Saltworks' AI subject matter expert: models, frameworks, best practices, and risk management.
• Deliver hands‑on training to help staff apply AI to their specific work.
• Support integrating AI into Saltworks' enterprise software systems and process plant systems.
• Own AI‑related data privacy, access controls, and security governance with IT.
• Structure organizational data for AI ingestion.

Qualifications

• A track record of delivering AI or automation projects end‑to‑end, with experience working across technical and non‑technical teams.
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
• Daily use of AI tools and a solid understanding of associated risks such as hallucinations and data leakage.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying AI agents.
• Familiarity with AI libraries and communication protocols (e.g. MCP, SDKs, A2A).
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise software systems (e.g. ERP or PLM).
• A collaborative self‑starter who leads by doing and communicates with clarity and directness.
• Bonus: proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
