Key Responsibilities
- Work with the team to define the business case and requirements for AI agents before development begins.
- Build, test, and deploy agents, ensuring security best practices and clear functional separation.
- Investigate and deploy AI tools tailored to specific team and department needs.
- Act as Saltworks' AI subject matter expert: models, frameworks, best practices, and risk management.
- Deliver hands‑on training to help staff apply AI to their specific work.
- Support integrating AI into Saltworks' enterprise software systems and process plant systems.
- Own AI‑related data privacy, access controls, and security governance with IT.
- Structure organizational data for AI ingestion.
Qualifications
- A track record of delivering AI or automation projects end‑to‑end, with experience working across technical and non‑technical teams.
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
- Daily use of AI tools and a solid understanding of associated risks such as hallucinations and data leakage.
- Hands‑on experience building and deploying AI agents.
- Familiarity with AI libraries and communication protocols (e.g. MCP, SDKs, A2A).
- Experience integrating AI with enterprise software systems (e.g. ERP or PLM).
- A collaborative self‑starter who leads by doing and communicates with clarity and directness.
- Bonus: proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
