You Are

In the role of AI Systems Engineering Manager, you will be integral to the development of advanced AI systems based on Large Language Models (LLMs). You will engage in every phase of the AI lifecycle—from model research to deployment in real-world applications. Your expertise will help enhance the performance, accuracy, and alignment of AI systems, ensuring they solve tangible problems responsibly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize AI prompts and applications using foundation models, including LLMs.
• Architect innovative generative agent systems to efficiently manage complex tasks.
• Oversee the development of application strategies that prioritize both user experience and backend integration.
• Evaluate and optimize AI system architectures, using best practices and relevant frameworks.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and offer guidance on improvements and engineering standards.
• Build scalable machine learning infrastructure, including efficient training pipelines and API integrations.
• Implement evaluation methods to ensure model robustness, fairness, and minimize risks of hallucination.
• Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to align AI systems with organizational goals.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during testing and production phases.
• Document architectures, methodologies, and innovations for enhanced knowledge transfer.

Note: Travel may be required based on business needs and client demands.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of expertise in designing resilient AI systems or products with robust engineering practices.
• 4+ years creating AI solutions using design patterns like retrieval augmentation generation (RAG).
• 4+ years of experience with programming languages and frameworks including Python, JavaScript, or Java, along with AI frameworks such as Autogen or LangGraph.
• 4+ years of experience with public cloud platforms and AI services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• 3+ years in AI engineering focused on fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• 2+ years in team leadership or management in AI-focused projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (12 years if not holding a degree).

Bonus Points:

• Experience fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs through advanced techniques.
• Experience creating frameworks for AI value justification.
• Experience in developing versatile AI solutions for mobile and web platforms.
