AI Web Engineer (Systems & Automation)

BX Studio

Canada · On-site Full-time Mid Level 1w ago

About the role

We’re looking for an AI web engineer who can both ship high-quality websites using tools like Claude Code and help us build a repeatable, scalable workflow for how we develop sites. This role is hands‑on. You’ll be building real client websites while also shaping how we do it as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Build production-ready marketing websites and web experiences using AI-assisted workflows (Claude Code, etc.)
  • Work directly from Figma designs and help define a clean Figma → code handoff process
  • Operate in a fast, iterative “vibe coding” style — rapid prototyping, refining, and shipping
  • Identify patterns across projects and turn them into reusable components, structures, and prompts
  • Help establish a repeatable blueprint for how we build websites with AI (structure, tooling, QA, deployment)
  • Collaborate with design and engineering to continuously improve speed and quality

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of experience in web development / frontend engineering
  • Strong experience as a web engineer / frontend developer
  • Proven ability to ship complete websites (not just components or partial work)
  • Experience using AI tools in development workflows (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
  • Comfortable working from Figma and translating designs into clean, production-ready code
  • Ability to move fast, iterate, and make pragmatic decisions
  • Interest in systematizing workflows, not just building one‑off projects

Nice to have

  • Experience creating internal tooling, templates, or developer workflows
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
  • Experience working in agency or fast-paced product environments
  • Strong taste in UI implementation and attention to detail

What success looks like

  • You can take a Figma file and turn it into a live, polished website quickly using AI
  • You reduce build time across projects by introducing better workflows and patterns
  • The team can build faster and more consistently because of your contributions

About the role

  • Hands‑on engineering role (this is not a pure systems or ops position)
  • High ownership and autonomy
  • Focus on speed, quality, and repeatability
