What the role is about

We are looking for a hands-on AI/LLM Engineer to help us further strengthen PMEOS and extend its capabilities for broader enterprise use. PMEOS is an AI-powered assistant for project delivery and agile collaboration in Microsoft Teams. It combines conversational AI, speech processing, structured outputs, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integrations such as Jira and Microsoft 365. Your first priority will be to review and further develop an existing Azure OpenAI-based implementation.

From there, you will help strengthen, extend, and operationalize the solution for real-world enterprise use.

This is not a pure research role. We are looking for someone who can quickly understand an existing setup, identify weaknesses and risks, and actively improve the product in a pragmatic way.

Your responsibilities

• Review and audit the current LLM and conversational AI implementation
• Improve prompt design, structured outputs, reliability, and error handling
• Work on Azure OpenAI-based services and related Azure components
• Improve the interaction between AI services, backend systems, and Microsoft Teams workflows
• Help complete end-to-end capabilities for meeting moderation, summaries, follow-ups, and action handling
• Support testing, stabilization, and production readiness
• Document technical decisions, limitations, and implementation details for maintainability
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product, and technical leadership

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI or similar enterprise LLM implementations
• Experience building, testing, or maintaining conversational AI solutions
• Solid understanding of prompt engineering, structured output generation, reliability, guardrails, and evaluation
• Strong Python skills and experience with backend and API integration
• Good understanding of Azure services, deployment, monitoring, security, and operational aspects
• Ability to work effectively in an existing codebase and improve it without starting from scratch
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to move quickly in an evolving product environment

We also welcome applications from outstanding Master s students who already bring strong hands-on experience in relevant areas such as Azure OpenAI, conversational AI, Python backend integration, or Microsoft ecosystem solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Entra , or bot-based enterprise applications
• Experience with Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, and voice-enabled conversational systems
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar delivery tooling
• Experience in agile product environments and familiarity with Scrum ceremonies and team workflows
• Experience with RAG, context grounding, and enterprise knowledge integration
