Are you passionate about artificial intelligence and machine learning? Maximus is looking for a dedicated AI/ML Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement cutting‑edge solutions that support critical Government operational systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, and integrate AI/ML models tailored for Government operations.
- Prepare and structure data for effective machine learning pipelines, enhancing model lifecycle management.
- Implement robust model monitoring and performance validation, ensuring traceability and reproducibility.
- Integrate AI/ML functionalities into applications using APIs and microservices.
- Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives, focusing on automated testing and secure deployments.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and Responsible AI policies.
- Support system accreditation and documentation activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout various project phases.
- Participate in Agile program increment planning and activities that may require travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree may count for 2 years of experience.
- Five years of professional experience in relevant AI/ML functions.
- Three years of hands‑on experience developing machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
- Three years of proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, C++).
- Deep understanding of machine learning principles, including supervised/unsupervised learning and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience preparing and documenting system tests for compliance verification.
- Strong background in testing web‑based applications.
- Experience with Jenkins and GitLab for continuous integration/delivery.
- Experience with relational databases, API development, and system integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile Test‑Driven Development and DevSecOps environments.
- Experience with CI/CD software development practices.
- Knowledge of RMF accreditation and security assessments.
- Proficiency in model monitoring, explainability, and Responsible AI practices.
- Experience integrating AI/ML services into operational dashboards or decision support platforms.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $145,000.00 based on factors such as job location, qualifications, and experience.
