Who We Are

You will join a team of 10 to 20 people.

Aircraft Engineering is an entity within Air France's Industrial Directorate that carries out airworthiness management activities for the Air France fleet as well as for numerous clients.

With an operating fleet of over 200 Airbus & Boeing aircraft, we are involved in major economic and operational challenges for Air France and our clients.

Aircraft Engineering is organized into engineering units:

  • Avionics Systems
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Cabin Systems
  • Structure, Landing Gear & APU
  • Maintenance Manual & Reliability
  • Configuration Control and Customers

The fleets supported are multiple: A220, A320, A330, A350, B777.

Our offices are located in the hangars of the CDG maintenance area, close to the aircraft.

General Missions

  • Commit to applying and enforcing Occupational Safety and Flight Safety requirements daily.
  • Promote all company safety initiatives to ensure that the safety of products and people is placed at the highest level.
  • Encourage people to express themselves and listen to improve Safety and Quality to reduce the company's exposure to incident or accident risks.

Your Role

Aircraft Engineers ensure leadership in their technological domain, working closely with numerous entities (Production, Logistics, Planning, Clients...) and representing Air France with manufacturers (Airbus, Boeing,..).

They coordinate cross-functional projects to continuously optimize the functioning of the systems for which they are responsible. They define maintenance policy evolutions in their domain, securing the impacts on operations and on economic and environmental aspects.

Aircraft Engineering is a dynamic entity offering exciting challenges. Involvement, rigor, teamwork, good interpersonal skills, curiosity, autonomy, organization, and a diversity of subjects and technologies characterize our environment.

If you join us, here are the roles you may perform:

  • Be the guarantor of airworthiness and an effective maintenance policy (cost/technical choices) for Air France's aircraft systems and clients within your scope, in strict compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate the necessary cross-functional actions and projects to continuously optimize the functioning of the systems for which you are responsible.
  • Lead the animation of your technological domain internally and you will be in direct contact with manufacturers or suppliers (Airbus/Boeing/...) to manage technical issues.
  • Thus, be a decisive player in achieving Air France's operational, environmental, economic, flight safety, and airworthiness maintenance performance objectives.

Your contacts will be varied, both internal (engineering, production, logistics, planning...) and external (Airbus, Boeing, KLM, Clients, Authorities...).

Travel

Business trips in France and abroad are possible.

Work Arrangement

Remote work is possible within the framework of the company's provisions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Holder of a Bac +5 (Master's or Engineering degree), or Bac +2/+3 with at least 10 years of experience in aeronautics.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations is appreciated.
  • Mastery of English (minimum B2 level).
  • Project management experience.
