About the role
Position Summary
We are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M2) to support line maintenance on De Havilland Dash 8-100, 200, and 300 aircraft. The role includes flying with aircraft and providing maintenance support at outstations and remote locations.
The successful candidate will complete and certify maintenance work in line with Transport Canada regulations, approved maintenance data, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transit, daily, and pre-departure inspections
- Troubleshoot and fix aircraft defects in an operational environment
- Complete component changes and operational checks
- Apply and manage MEL procedures when required
- Certify maintenance work in accordance with Transport Canada requirements
- Travel with aircraft as a Flying AME to support outstations
- Support flight crews during delays, disruptions, and AOG events
- Complete aircraft technical records, logbooks, and maintenance documents
- Follow AMO procedures, AMM, MEL, and IPC requirements
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance
Requirements
- A valid Transport Canada AME M2 Licence is mandatory
- Experience in line maintenance operations
- Dash 8-100 / 200 / 300 experience preferred
- Flying AME or outstation support experience is an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Able to work independently in remote locations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, including flight controls, landing gear, brakes, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of PW120 / PW121 / PW123 engines and Hamilton Sundstrand propeller systems is an asset
- Able to work shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and travel frequently
