Principal/Expert Camera Algorithm R&D Engineer

Join a global leader in mobile imaging technology at their European Research Institute. We are seeking a technical visionary to define the next generation of end-to-end imaging concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Authority: Act as the lead expert for pixel reconstruction algorithms, influencing architecture decisions across ISP, sensor, optics, and AI imaging pipelines.
• Strategic Roadmap: Define and drive the roadmap for core computational imaging algorithms (Denoising, Super-Resolution, Bokeh, Multi-frame Fusion).
• Hardware-Software Co-Design: Propose efficient HW IP / SoC architecture solutions by analyzing power, performance, area (PPA), and latency trade-offs.
• End-to-End Validation: Lead innovations from concept exploration and simulation to prototype implementation and performance benchmarking.
• Global Mentorship: Guide senior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across sensor development and product engineering.

Requirements

• Education: MSc or PhD in EE, Computer Vision, Computational Imaging, or a related field.
• Experience: 15+ years of industry experience in mobile imaging systems.
• Technical Depth: Expertise in image sensors, optics, OIS, and both SW/HW image processing pipelines.
• Implementation: Proven track record of deploying modern computational imaging algorithms (Multi-frame fusion, depth rendering) onto embedded hardware.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across globally distributed teams.
