Context and Environment

The Global Retail division serves the 50 subsidiaries operating TotalEnergies-branded service station networks worldwide. It is part of the Customer Business Strategy division within the Marketing & Services business line.

Within SMC Retail, the "Operational Excellence" team aims to optimize the economic performance of service stations (both turnover development and cost optimization), define the fundamentals of service station management, and support network teams globally to master these fundamentals and improve profitability. A key challenge is analyzing available data through the tools used by all subsidiaries to implement action plans in a continuous improvement approach. This position offers a unique opportunity to discover the core of service station management, the various associated management methods (direct operation, franchise, etc.), and the optimization of business management, with each of the 10,000 service stations being a profit center. The environment is highly international due to the scope of intervention (Africa and Asia in particular) and the diversity of the team, based in Paris and abroad. The intern will be fully integrated into the team's life and will have the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced and dynamic team.

Activities

As an intern, your missions will be:

• Contribute to mastering international network fundamentals: Co-develop and deploy support approaches for subsidiaries (business analyses, training, coaching, personalized action plans, best practice sharing) in collaboration with the Retail management and local teams.
• Optimize service station profitability: Ensure monthly monitoring of financial optimizations via the dedicated tool, challenge existing KPIs, improve analyses (particularly via Power BI), and assist optimizers in their diagnoses and recommendations.
• Participate in the production of analyses and reports: Build reports (Power BI / Excel) related to value creation at service stations, profit sharing between manager/TotalEnergies, and monitoring of additional gains within the Stick to Value program; also ensure monthly reporting for the Stick to Basics program.
• Support network governance and procedure updates: Assist in updating and simplifying procedures via the One Referential platform, manage the S2B platform, and capitalize on associated business knowledge.
• Strengthen communication with subsidiaries: Participate in preparing content (newsletters, Viva Engage, COPIL/CODIR presentations, guide materials, SharePoint, webinars, etc.) to support optimizers and the Operational Excellence team.

Candidate Profile

Currently in Master 1 Strategy, Economics and Business, you are looking for a one-year internship to prepare for your Master 2 in Business Strategy and Economics.

You have a solid ability to work cross-functionally with various business experts, good financial knowledge, and a strong business orientation. Rigorous, autonomous, and capable of delivering effectively, you know how to successfully complete the missions assigned to you and achieve the set objectives.

You are proficient in IT tools, particularly Excel and Power BI, and you distinguish yourself by your humility, proactivity, curiosity, and commitment. Your interpersonal skills facilitate your integration and interactions within diverse teams.

You are bilingual in French and fluent in English, allowing you to work in an international professional environment.
