Your daily life

By joining us in Meudon, you will join the Thales Group's head office located on the banks of the Seine, organized as a true campus, bringing together in particular our digital identity and security activities.

As part of its digital transformation, Thales is deploying the Zenith program to modernize its end-to-end business processes, structure its data, and implement a new ERP with SAP S/4.

The "Data Continuity" department supports this transformation by creating and ensuring the reliability of the data necessary for the company.

This internship aims to automate the discovery, analysis, and modeling of data, to enhance existing data schemas, and to ensure continuity between data and business knowledge.

You will work with various stakeholders (business, IT, data) and structure and document your work.

Your missions:

  • You will work on a scope combining data, AI, and tooling
  • Develop scripts (e.g., Python), processing pipelines to analyze and document data schemas (databases, files, APIs).
  • Implement automation flows (e.g., n8n, Kestra or equivalent) to scan, qualify, and organize data.
  • Experiment with the use of LLMs to:
    • Interpret schemas,
    • Generate documentation,
    • Propose business/technical mappings
  • Contribute to the definition of business ontologies and the construction of a knowledge graph connected to existing systems.
  • Produce reusable assets
    • Scripts, workflows, templates,
    • Notebooks / small interfaces for internal users

Your profile:

  • You are looking for a 1 or 2-year work-study program as part of your Master's degree in Master Data / IT / AI.
  • You practice Python and have already worked with databases (Graph, SQL, schemas, joins).
  • You use Git or an equivalent to version your code.
  • You have knowledge in data science.
  • You are interested in automation (scripts, APIs, orchestrators), LLMs and their use on data, semantic web, and knowledge graphs (or wish to learn).
  • You know how to move from the concrete (scripts, tables) to abstraction (models, concepts, ontologies).
  • You document what you do and want to leave something reusable.
  • You enjoy hands-on work, testing, debugging, and connecting tools.
  • You are comfortable communicating with diverse profiles (business, IT, data).
  • You seek to understand the business and the meaning behind the data.
