Position and Missions

Join BPCE as a Data Engineer Hadoop / GCP for an apprenticeship starting September 2026!

You will join the Corporate IT department, specifically the T&O and BPA IT department, which is responsible for providing the Technologies & Operations (Global Business Management and Transformation (GBMT), WorkPlace, Group CIO Office, Finance T&O, Operations Directorate) and Retail Banking and Insurance (BPA) departments with all the applications necessary for their operation.

Concretely, what will your day-to-day look like?

The Group CIO Office department has launched a strategic program called "Convergence of CIO Office Tools," which includes several projects to harmonize processes and tools.

One of these streams aims to build a data platform on a Hadoop stack to centralize data exchanges and serve reporting needs.

In addition to data collection and preparation, the project team offers services around the Power Platform.

We provide the Group CIO Office, the Finance T&O department, and our IT users with access to data and Power BI dashboards.

It is in this specific context that you will evolve as a Data Engineer Hadoop / GCP in direct collaboration with the Data Engineers on the team.

Profile and Required Skills

You are passionate about data and IT development, and are in your final year of an engineering or Master's program in this field.

To succeed in your mission:

• You are naturally curious, have a real desire to learn, and seek autonomy in your role.
• Proactive, you know how to take initiative and seek to give meaning to your missions and understand your environment.
• You have strong analytical skills to provide relevant insights on complex data and draw conclusions.
• You appreciate teamwork and cross-functional exchanges (team in Paris and Porto).
• Ideally, you have a good level of English (written/oral).
• Through your experience, you have acquired knowledge on the Hadoop platform, and if possible GCP.
• As well as very good SQL basics to query and manipulate data in databases.
• On the Development side, you have experience with the following languages: Python, Pyspark, Git, Jenkins, shell scripting.
