Your Daily Life

You will join the Tribe Network of Thales and become part of Squad OneConnect, a team dedicated to managing traffic flows and automating firewall rule changes. The squad works in an agile methodology, leveraging automation and scripting solutions to make firewall rule management more efficient, reduce manual interventions, and ensure better traceability of modifications. Collaboration with other infrastructure squads and global teams occurs in an agile, international setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for managing network filtering rules on firewalls.
• Integrate and optimize APIs to interact with firewall management solutions (Palo Alto, Juniper, Stormshield, TUFIN).
• Contribute to the implementation of automated workflows for security rule changes.
• Participate in the maintenance and improvement of internal audit and network flow provisioning tools.
• Work closely with security experts and network engineers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Write technical documentation and user guides for the developed solutions.
• Take part in agile rituals (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).

Profile / Requirements

• Seeking an apprenticeship of 2–3 years as part of your training.
• Completed academic or personal projects in Python (automation, scripts, APIs).
• Initial experience with system administration scripts (Bash, PowerShell).
• Developed scripts that integrate REST APIs for task automation.
• Experience with orchestration and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
• Proficient in Python and web frameworks for automation development.
• Experience with Git/GitLab/GitHub for version control and continuous integration.
