About the role
Contexte
For at least 2 years, you will join the R&D department within the Interventional Image Quality team, whose mission is to continuously improve the imaging performance of our interventional radiology systems.
We exploit a growing volume of data from our global installed base (logs, measurements, images, metadata), used for:
- Performance analysis,
- Remote diagnosis,
- Continuous improvement of image quality.
The position is based in Buc (France) in an international environment, with regular interactions with teams located around the world.
In this context, we are looking for a curious and motivated junior Data Engineer intern to contribute to the collection, transformation, and structuring of data from our medical systems, within our new Microsoft Fabric / Power BI platform (Warehouse, PySpark, Dataflows, Dashboards).

In this role, you will participate in the data access architecture, its preprocessing, and its availability for technical teams.
You will collaborate with members of the Image Quality team to understand their business needs related to data analysis, and design tools to facilitate their use.
Depending on the needs, you will interact with other teams to share, pool access, and harmonize tools.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of the Data Fabric architecture (ingestion, preparation, transformation).
- Implement robust and performant pipelines (automation, normalization).
- Process, structure, and exploit data from interventional radiology systems.
- Participate in the design and improvement of data access mechanisms (collection, storage, secure access).
- Understand, analyze, and formalize internal business needs.
- Develop tools, scripts, and Power BI Dashboards for R&D and Image Quality teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to harmonize practices and pool data access.
- Contribute to the technical documentation of tools, pipelines, and methodologies.
Exigences
- Academic training in Data Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one data processing language (Python, SQL).
- Knowledge of PySpark or interest in learning it.
- Knowledge of Power BI / Microsoft Fabric / Delta Lake.
- Notions of ETL, pipelines, and distributed processing.
- Good understanding of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Datalake…).
- Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Good level of English, both written and spoken.
Atouts supplémentaires
- Strong interest and/or experience in medical or health data processing.
- Knowledge of medical imaging principles (X-rays).
- Ability to solve complex problems and provide creative solutions.
