The Opportunity
The Marketing Analyst role will be responsible for the execution and analysis of database marketing for Ally Bank. As an integral part of the marketing analytics team, this analyst will interact with business partners on the marketing team and line of business, as well as our creative agency, to identify targeted marketing audiences, lead the execution of campaigns and report findings to identify opportunities for enhancements and better targeting.
The Work Itself
- Participate in the upfront strategic planning process of developing targeted multi‑channel campaigns (acquisition, upsell, cross sell, incentives), including sizing, scenario testing.
- Take part in design of experiment ideation and development for the purposes of ensuring adequate structure for maintaining measurable outcomes.
- Responsible for the execution and project management of targeted marketing campaigns based on detailed customer characteristics, legal regulations, statistical models and business requests.
- Analyze and present campaign performance including responder profiling, statistical significance testing and business case analysis.
- Act as a liaison between business partners and execution team to translate business need into executable requirements and technical specifications.
- Oversee automated campaigns to ensure they’re running on time and accurately.
- Manage workflow and resource planning for campaign execution.
- Conduct detail‑oriented team audits of all deliverables to ensure 100% accuracy of campaign data.
The Skills You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field(s) of study or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years+ of SQL experience
- 2 years+ of Data Analysis experience
- Excellent ability to communicate across all levels of roles and functions throughout the organization – both verbally and written
- 1+ years of professional experience in marketing campaign management and/or business analysis, preferably in financial services
- Ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment, with competing priorities and changing requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Nice to Haves
- 2+ years of experience working within a financial services organization
- 2+ years of experience with SAS
- 2+ years of experience developing dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau

Base Pay Range
- Emerging: $65,000
- Experienced: $90,000
- Expert: $115,000
An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation
This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant experience
