The Pennsylvania Legislative Budget & Finance Committee (LBFC) is a bipartisan, bicameral legislative service agency located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Analyst, with primary responsibilities based in Harrisburg, PA. The Analyst will conduct research, analyze data, and create detailed reports on legislative and policy-related topics. Key tasks include evaluating the fiscal and social impact of state programs, drafting recommendations for policy improvements, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The position requires collaborative work with colleagues, as well as independent initiative while working remotely on select occasions.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and evaluate data accurately.
• Proficiency in writing and editing, with experience drafting clear and concise reports and policy documents.
• Experience in program evaluation, public policy analysis, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel or statistical software applications.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience or familiarity with Pennsylvania government, public administration, or legislative processes is a plus.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related field is required.
