Opportunity Overview
The Analyst, Competitive Research & Enablement will be responsible for supporting the execution of the intelligence and insights mandate and go-to-market initiatives through day-to-day product/market research activities, performance reporting and active maintenance of information systems and processes.
Job Description
What will you do?
- Own day-to-day market monitoring activities that identify relevant competitor activities and industry/market trends
- Compile, write and publish the team’s bi-weekly competitive newsletters with appropriate context and analytical perspective
- Gather and maintain a comprehensive database of product rates for reporting and/or analysis
- Support the development of and maintain the centralized intelligence repository and/or team content sites by building content and/or updating materials on an ongoing basis
- Support standardized reporting activities including, but not limited, to market positioning, executive dashboards/summaries, product battlecards/scorecards, campaign measurement, etc
- Own the creation/maintenance of team process documentation
- Serve as the external coordinator to ensure an accurate account of RBC product features and rates with third party partners
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 2 years of professional experience in research/insights or business/strategy analysis capacity
- Proactive self‑starter mindset with demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to clearly organize, articulate and share research findings in a clear and concise manner
- Strong understanding and ability to manipulate/organize data using Excel and to create presentations in PowerPoint, along with familiarity with the rest of MS Office Suite
- Strong technical aptitude to learn/use internal and third‑party intelligence tools
- Experience supporting the automation/streamlining of processes, data management and reporting through the use of macros/queries, Tableau (or similar) and/or artificial intelligence tools
- Ability to build strong business acumen, with a natural curiosity and analytical mindset
Nice To Have
- Experience or strong aptitude to rapidly develop a working understanding of the life insurance industry
- Knowledge of more than one of the following product categories: Individual Insurance, Group Benefits, Travel and/or Creditor Insurance

Compensation
Pay Range: $55,000.00 – $90,000.00.
