Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a dedicated professional role the role of an Analyst - Compliance Solutions. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting assigned disaffiliation cases. This work includes guiding affiliates through various compliance processes and action plans (dedicated to disaffiliation, dissolution or name change). This position coordinates cases with team leaders and requires strong analytical skills, expertise in relevant case management systems, knowledge of US affiliate operations and experience handling sensitive situations.

This position will be remotely based within the US.

A Habitat for Humanity affiliate is a local, independently run nonprofit organization that carries out Habitat for Humanity’s mission within a specific community or service area. These affiliates are the operational backbone of Habitat’s work.

Key Responsibilities

Affiliate Case Management, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Leading work with affiliates facilitating process in support of affiliate leaders and in accordance with established team case management guidelines.
  • Evaluate reviews of cases, as assigned, in concert and collaboration with Compliance Solutions leaders with the goal of successful action planning and resolution.
  • Collaborate with affiliates and community stakeholders with integrity and transparency to support the affiliate through all aspects of dissolution or name change or other action planning as assigned.
  • Document case work through team communications while utilizing key performance indicators and adherence to established management protocols. This work includes significant attention to case process lifecycle and timelines, affiliate updates and accurate documentation in established team and organizational platforms.
  • Monitor affiliate interactions for potential aspects of power dynamics or other barriers to relationship building, escalating key issues with supervisor and support collaboration with other leaders or teams.

Cross-Functional Operations, Compliance & Project Support

  • Supporting Team Processes and Projects Collaborate effectively with other US Office teams to ensure successful service delivery to affiliates and to help protect the mission and brand of Habitat for Humanity.
  • Support and facilitate team projects and initiatives dedicated to US affiliates network quality, standards, compliance, data analytics or other as deemed priority by VP US Admin and Operations and Sr Dir Compliance Solutions.
  • Support Compliance Solutions staff as needed, ensuring established case procedures and quality standards; including continued learning of new case management tools and improvements; data collection and analytics as deemed priority by VP US Admin and Operations and Sr. Dir Compliance Solutions.
  • Supporting US Operations projects and initiatives as priority by VP US Admin and Operations and Sr Dir Compliance Solutions.
  • Support ongoing collaborations with HFHI Legal, Public/Media Relations/HFHI Governance/Risk/Compliance. Also works closely with most US Office teams, most specifically Affiliate Support Center.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience conducting high risk organizational assessments with a disaffiliation and dissolution focus.
  • Experience with nonprofit governance and compliance, legal/ regulatory knowledge, or some financial acumen.
  • Experience with mergers, closures, or restructuring is highly valuable.
  • Ability to handle complex risk assessment cases and identify solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to Habitat for Humanity affiliates around any risk assessment issues.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $59,000-$70,000.
