Role Overview
The newly formed Data & Insights Centre of Excellence is looking to hire a Business Data Steward to join a strong and dynamic Data Governance Team to help in the management and governance of Contact and Account Data in our brand new local and global systems.
What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?
- Verify and/or update data in and across our new local and global data management systems.
- Address inquiries/requests submitted by practitioners and leaders and work with them to have their data updated in the system.
- Perform research of external sources to validate information and confirm accuracy when necessary.
- Contribute to shaping Data Governance by building out new business processes, implementing controls, and managing small‑sized initiatives/projects for data cleanup, creation, or net‑new functionality.
About The Team
The BDS team is a group of onshore and offshore Data Stewards who work diligently to uphold the integrity of data in our source systems. We work in tandem with global data management teams to ensure alignment of data with other member firms. We are a powerful team that has a customer‑service‑oriented approach, we work hard but also make time for fun.
Requirements
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of a CRM for managing customer and client data. Salesforce experience would be an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English (both written and spoken). (Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position)
- Experience in conducting secondary research.
- Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis tools.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
- Awareness of data quality frameworks and techniques to ensure accurate and reliable information.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Familiarity with CASL (Canada’s Anti‑Spam Legislation) and its application in business communications.
- Experience creating interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or PowerBI.
- Proficiency in developing process flows and diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
- Demonstrated ability to support project coordination activities across cross‑functional teams.
- Exposure to Generative AI (Gen AI) technologies and their business applications.
Total Rewards
Salary Range
- Analyst: $47,000 – $78,000
- Senior Analyst: $56,000 – $96,000
