We are looking for a functional analyst with e-commerce experience to join our ever-evolving team and work in a dynamic and stimulating environment from BRP's downtown Montreal office.
Reporting to the D2C Solution Delivery Team Lead, the functional analyst will participate in the design, documentation, and validation of functional and business requirements to support BRP's direct-to-consumer (D2C) solutions. Additionally, the person in this role will provide comprehensive support throughout the application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional design, testing support, production defect analysis, and ongoing operational support.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of initial technical requirements in collaboration with project and solution partners, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with business needs.
- Validate that proposed technical specifications and architectures meet business and functional requirements while guiding key contributors through development, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Participate in defining scope, designing, configuring, testing, and deploying cross-functional projects, as well as continuous improvement initiatives across the D2C ecosystem.
- Contribute to the selection of products, tools, and methods by participating in strategic decisions, leveraging industry trends, and ensuring solutions remain scalable and aligned with the overall technology vision.
- Serve as the guardian of functional best practices, maintain up-to-date documentation, and promote adherence to technical and industry standards within project execution and application support teams.
- Oversee the transition between project execution and operational support, ensuring a smooth handover through clear documentation, knowledge transfer, and the development and delivery of training materials for end-users and support teams.
Qualifications
- A university degree in computer science, business technology, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an enterprise technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business and technical requirements and develop solutions to meet them.
- A proven track record of success working with enterprise systems and successful integrations.
- The ability to adapt and consistently perform in evolving retail environments and business realities.
- Ability to play an active role in internal and external brainstorming sessions, as well as management meetings to evolve our technical solutions.
- A dynamic, innovative, and problem-solving approach, with strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- The ability to work in French and English (written and oral) is essential.
- Proven experience with retail processes and technology is a major asset (from order entry to payment processing).
- Experience implementing or experimenting with LLMs or agentive platforms is considered an asset.
- Experience with the following systems and platforms is a significant asset:
- Experience working with an order management system such as Manhattan Omni, Kibo Commerce, or other.
- Experience working in an ERP such as SAP S4, or other.
- Experience working with an enterprise e-commerce platform such as Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce, Shopify, or other.
- Experience working with a reputable payment provider such as Braintree, Ayden, Shop, or other.
- Experience working with a CRM solution such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or other.
- Experience working with a marketing automation platform and CDP such as Salesforce, Adobe, Tealium, or other.
