Responsibilities

• You conceptualize and develop Data Products and our central data platform from scratch.
• You design and implement our data infrastructure across heterogeneous data sources and multiple cloud environments.
• You develop and operate scalable data pipelines (batch and near-real-time) for analytics and AI use cases in Python.
• You model data structures for product analyses, business KPIs, product features, RAG pipelines, and AI workloads.
• You define clear and consistent KPIs together with stakeholders and ensure that they are used uniformly across systems and teams.
• You ensure that data is available with high quality, is traceable, and AI-ready across the entire platform.
• You define and implement data quality standards (including tests, monitoring, and data lineage).
• You analyze large amounts of data, identify new data sources, and derive new insights for product and business.
• You work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and AI teams to enable data-driven and AI-based features.
• You continuously develop our data models, quality standards, processes, and data governance.
• You use AI assistants to accelerate development, exploration, and debugging.

Requirements

• You have several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or analytics-oriented Software Engineer and have already worked with modern cloud data stacks and warehouse-centric architectures.
• You have very good SQL skills (including complex transformations with CTEs) as well as strong Python skills for ETL development.
• You have experience in building and operating scalable data platforms.
• You have experience in data modeling for analytics and AI workloads.
• You are familiar with Data Quality, Data Lineage, Testing, and Data Governance and can make and implement pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Ideally, you have experience in analyzing large amounts of data as well as in preparing and visualizing data for demanding stakeholders.
• You work confidently with heterogeneous data sources and multiple cloud environments and ideally have experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• You are characterized by curiosity, a structured and detail-oriented approach, and actively use AI coding assistants in your engineering workflow.
• You have very good German (C1+) and English (C1+) language skills.
