Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Architect, code, test, and maintain high‑performance Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Mission‑Critical Systems: Implement robust, secure, and scalable solutions that meet stringent reliability and compliance standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Code Quality: Enforce best practices, conduct peer reviews, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Performance Optimization: Profile, troubleshoot, and optimize apps for speed, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
• Security Integration: Apply secure coding guidelines, perform threat modeling, and ensure compliance with DoD/NIAP security requirements.

Required Qualifications

Requirement	Details
Experience	5+ years of professional Android development (Kotlin & Java).
Clearance	Active Secret security clearance (must be maintained).
Education	Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills	• Android SDK, Jetpack components, Coroutines, Dagger/Hilt, Retrofit, Room. • RESTful APIs, JSON, XML. • CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Bitrise, etc.). • Unit & UI testing (JUnit, Espresso, Robolectric). • Version control (Git).
Soft Skills	Strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication, teamwork orientation, and a proactive attitude.
Security Awareness	Familiarity with secure coding practices, data encryption, and handling of classified information.

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of C++/NDK for performance‑critical modules.
• Prior work on government or defense contracts.
• Certifications such as Google Associate Android Developer or CompTIA Security+.
