Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code for Android applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend) to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
• Strong understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integration.
• Familiarity with modern architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI) and best practices.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Demonstrable experience shipping at least one complex Android application to the Google Play Store.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of RxJava or Kotlin Coroutines.
• Experience with Dagger Hilt or Koin for dependency injection.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and design best practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
